Description
Today I was extremely lucky. I saw a Marmon, and I had a camera with me. I actually had Mom turn around so I could take pictures of this thing.
In case you're wondering why I'm making a big deal about a tractor trailer, allow me to explain. Marmon is a deceased brand. In 1963, the Texas-based Marmon Motor Co. began producing hand-made trucks geared towards the owner-operators of the trucking business. While they came to be called "the Rolls-Royce of trucks", Marmon was just a little fish in a sea of truck makers. In 1997, Marmon closed up shop.
So, as you can probably guess from that little history, Marmons are quite a rare sight. I'm so happy that I finally photographed one!

Nice pictures! Im looking at getting one roughly five hours away from me. '85 57L with a stand up sleeper. Of course for reasons unknown, the sleeper was taken off and in it's place is a flatbed. No matter. Pretty decent shape for it's age.
